Maman, a beautiful sculpture by Louise Bourgeois

I was bruising my digital pictures way back in 2003 and I found this picture of a big spider around 30 ft. high.  It was taken by our second digital camera a 3.2 megapixel Kodak which I think it produced wonderful pictures inspite it was a little bit slow. It was taken during summer and it was exhibited in front of the Court house in Gammel Torv in Copenhagen. According to Wikipedia Louise Burgeois was born December 25, 1911 in Paris. She was a famous artist and sculpture and the Maman was most famous since it was exhibited by the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao which reminds me that I dream of visiting that wonderful piece of architecture by Frank Gehry.

    Hi Filipinamom,

I enjoyed reading your blogs. I especially like the Maman blog as it reminds me of the big spider sculpture in Bilbao.

Keep writing more and continue making Filipin0s proud ..

    Have a great weekend

Hi Ana, is the Maman still in Copenhagen now? I wish to see this when we visit there, say, end of this month. :-) This sculpture is awesome!
