My School Project Presentation
21 May
For those who don’t know me I am a back to school mom and I’m taking up a Constructing Architect or Architectural Technology course in one of the Business College in Copenhagen i. It is 3 1/2 or 7 semester education. Our Subjects are Architecture/Design, Structural Design, Construction material and processes, Communication, Business, Management, Production (Construction) and Business Law.
It is a group work based education meaning it’s a project based exam. Our assignment for example this semester is Refurbishment of a 5 Storeys Building project and a Infill or a Urban Renewal. We will form a group of 4 and establish a company where we prepare all kinds of documents and drawing just like in real life and our exam is to present our 4 months work Form Strategic Planning to Production and present it in 20-25 minutes giving each member 5 minutes to talk about each part. Then the question and answer after they will decide what grade they will give the individual. The grade depends on your group work and how you present it.

Was taken during my exam on the 3rd semester. That is the old way of presentation using boards.
Now we are using audio visual which I kind of like it because less stress and paperless (environmentally friendly) just go to the examination room with a usb key or just log in to our common drive. But it’s also takes a lot of time and effort preparing the presentation slides starting from saving the documents an drawings into pdf file or take a screenshot and hyperlink it so when you zoom the document and discuss it further. The problem with the audio visual how you can present all your works into just 20 minutes presentation. And when you are not well verse in English oh la la.
Besides the project we also have to deal with assignments but usually its still group work and below is my attempt to make the Company portfolio of my group I just made a screen shot of all the projects from first semester to the present and I made it in Publisher well at least we got praised by the business teacher.This is only the cover inside is the company’s description and the partners CV/work portfolio.

Right now we are rushing to finish our project both the drawings and the documents and we only have 2 weeks before the finals and It’s not easy working with people who are not serious but somebody in the group should take responsibility failure of one means failure for everybody
.That’s the disadvantage of group work.

Ana, buti ka pa’t nagpatuloy pa rin sa iyong pag-aaral diyan. Ako, I stopped last term cos I am working 100%, I felt like I was between two worlds kasi. Huh, hirap naman kasi dito sa mga bansa natin, kahit na tapos na tayo ng pag-aaral sa atin ay obehörig pa rin ang turing sa tin. Is it the same in Denmark?
@ Marlene
I can’t understand napakahirap talaga lalo we have to do everything ourselves ala tayo katulong. Basta foerigner ka esp. Asian kahit accepted ka pa kailangan you always have to prove yourself that you are better than them.
Unauthorized? siguro pareho din sa DK kasi alam mo na minsan protected ng mga trade union at saka yung law priority lahat ng citizens nila or EU citizens unless ala talaga. But the important thing is to learn the language and at least you have the chance to be in the jobmarket. There’s a lot of Filipinos here who work in offices and other job than services.
Currently there’s a need of health workers so I know nurses who were hired just that you have to have your education and work experiences accredited then you’re one step ahead.
Although in Scandinavia all are equal even you’re a cleaner or doctor kaya lang sayang naman ang pinag aralan natin si ba hindi pa libre so malking tulong na sa kanila yun tignan mo ako pina aaral pa nila.
Oh wow Ana! You’re an inspiration! I hope I have the same motivation and take a refresher course in Architecture. I wish you all the best of luck in your project. You show them who’s boss! he he. Btw, I’m sorry I didn’t get to the meme you tagged me with. I’m trying to get back to blogging – wish me luck! LOL!
@Maricris
It’s always nice to hear from you. I really enjoy the course imagine I can design houses and building in Europe hihihi once in a lifetime opportunity. Just imagine I’m a mom but the worse is over 1 year ago I need to take a break when I’m doing something to breastfeed my son now he checks his email on his laptop (toy computer).
Good luck to blogging again but congratulations on your jewelry business I think you’re doing well and at the same doing charity works.
It’s nice to know that you went back to business school at Copenhagen. It’s never too late to learn new things which will improve your chances for success in your chosen field. I will pray for the success of your studies and your career too in Denmark. I hope and pray that your father is okay now and is recuperating well. Thanks for the post. God bless you always.
@Mel
A lot of people I know are not wild about me going back to school I should earn but thanks to my husband who supported my decision.
It’s not only money sure I can find job easily here but I like to work but I should enjoy working because I love it not because of money.
Sometimes it’s so boring because I thirst for something new but now I learned to take it easy and enjoy the moment and take advantage of all the new technology I’m learning which I didn’t learn before. And Hoping it would lead me to a fulfilling job next year.
Thanks again for the prayer Mel I really appreciate it we still hope my dad will fully recover.
God Bless.
