Deafening Silence

Last Sunday was a perfect day to celebrate the easter, the sun was shining and I can say the spring has come. We, my husband, my son and my surrogate daughters actually they au pairs (not mine) who became a close friend of us went to the amusement park in the middle of the woods.

The first time I visited that park I fell in love with it because it ‘s kinda going into the pages of a book because this park which is inside the Animal Haven/Park dates around 425 years old . The rides are still traditional for example the roller coaster which made of wood and simple rides me think of my nieces and nephews back in the Philippine they will surely love it.

Both children and adults especially my son was so ecstatic to see what’s happening and wanted to try all the rides. Of course he’s still too young so he’s just allowed to look and watch. a We enjoyed walking into the woods, while others sat on a blanket eating , while others were, laughing, screaming, clapping and just enjoying the day.

There were thousands of people who visited that day almost everyone were happy but one girl I saw made my heart beats faster because I saw that she was very angry, sad and looks like she’s not enjoying the moment. It’s not that she did not get what she wanted but the way the man holds her made her like she gonna vomit and the more she sulks the man holds her in a different manner not fitted for a father. No it can’t not be his father I thought following with them are 2 men the same age as the man and they disappear in the sea of humanity. She is around 9 or 10 years old blond and thin while the men were dark kind of east European looks. Movies keeps flashing on my mind about child abuse victims and the kidnapped children like Maddie.

Maybe it’s just my imagination but what if it’s not! then the deafening silence hovers for a few minutes then I can’t take it anymore I told my husband and he said what can we do.

We can stop the deafening silence and stop the sexual child abuse by joining , donating or supporting child abuse campaign awareness by various organizations like for example the Stop the Silence which organized a Run and Rally event today at Washington, USA to create awareness

Be aware if you know a person:

• who deny to respects children owns border
• who insist to kiss or hug or even hold even the child doesn’t wanted to
• who is interested to a child’s sexual development
