burningcandles
This year all souls day will be  very painful for me and the rest of my family last year blog about remembering our dead not knowing just a few days my grandmother will past away on the 4h of November and later this june her son my father folowwed her. My father even went home to the Philippines to attend the funeral service of my grandmother and just as he came back in Madrid he was diagnosed with head tumor. It’s too much to take in just 7 months.

I did not saw my grandfather my on my father’s side but I can clearly remember we used to  visit his grave every November 1 in the cemetery just beside the beach. That’s only the time to see my father’s relative and that’s the only time for us young ones to get to know them since they leave in other cities. We waited until the big dragon candles my uncle used to bring form Manila the one you can buy in the Chinatown. Before November 1 I barely can remeber that there are padasal or prayers by our parish priest who go around and ask for the names of the dead family members and sometime a group of elders who prayed in latin well I don’t know it anybody still can pray in latin on our place.

Now it my time to light a  candle for tatay, my inang, my amang , my lolo on my mother’s side , all my relatives and all the victims of the recent typhoons  and at the same say a prayer that their soul may rest in peace.

Dear Friends:

Babaylan is calling for your generous help and support for the victims of typhoon Ondoy (international code name: Ketsana), which recently hit vast areas of Central Luzon, Philippines, specifically, Metro Manila and its neighboring provinces..

A victim of floodings is rescued in Pasig City , east of Manila.

A victim of floodings is rescued in Pasig City , east of Manila.

The typhoon has caused massive flooding, resulting in the death of over 200 people (a growing number), with many others injured or missing. The floods have also destroyed houses and other properties, forcing thousands of families to evacuate their homes.

The situation in the affected areas is desperate. Some people are still stranded on roofs of houses, without food and drinking water. Many others are living in evacuation centers and are dependent on the help extended to them by generous individuals. The victims need immediate help – cash donations, food supplies, clothing, blankets, medicine, etc.

Your support is badly needed and will be highly appreciated.

Please send your donation directly to any of the the following:

  • Babaylan-Denmark – Accepting cash donations through its Denmark Bank Account: EIK BANK – 6610 2494890.You may also send your donation to any member of Babaylan Denmark.
  • UNICEF – Accepting cash donations through its Metrobank (Philippines) account: UNICEF C/A 066-7-06631209-3 in response to the victims of tropical storm Ondoy.

You may also call the UNICEF hotlines at tel. nos.:

+632 758-1442

to find out more ways to send your donations.

  • CAMILLIAN FATHERS – They are directly involved with the evacuees in Marikina City and Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines:

Tel nos.:

There are many other institutions and non government organizations (NGOs) in the Philippines that are helping the victims. The above are just the nearer contacts. Please feel free to get in touch with any other institution or NGO, if deemed easier.

Your assistance will go a long way.

Thank you for your generosity.

Sincerely,

Babaylan Denmark

Here is a repost from www.tagamonumento.blogspot.com

27 January 2009

Today, I’ll try to go on air via radio and will attempt to reach other sectors of media to issue an urgent appeal to Philippine authorities led by PGMA,MMDA Chairman Bayani Fernando and Caloocan City Mayor Enrico “RECOM” Echiverri for them to cause an immediate suspension of the construction related to the “closing the LRT-MRT3 loop” project being conducted near the Monumento area. The Bonifacio Monument is the greatest monument to valor and to love of freedom on earth. We are not against modernization but progress should not come at the price of desecrating our country’s soul. We have an online petition to have the Bonifacio Monument included among the list of UNESCO World Heritage sites.
We hope that Filipinos whom we look up to for leadership, moral courage and ardent nationalism will speak out in support of this call. Our leaders have to consult us closely on every vital issue and this has not happened in the issue of the Monumento.
We call on people like Bishop Deogracias Iñiguez of the Diocese of Kalookan, Bishop Antonio Tobias of Novaliches, Bro. Eddie Villanueva of the Jesus Is Lord Church, Bro. Mike Velarde of El Shaddai, Executive Minister Eraño Manalo of the Iglesia Ni Cristo, Engr. Jun Lozada and Mr. Joey De Venecia (who exposed the ZTE broadband scandal) to mobilize our fellow Filipinos in heeding the call to defend the Monumento.
We call on the Honorable Chief Justice of the Philippines Reynato S. Puno, perhaps our country’s greatest living jurist (who normally gives the keynote address at the Monumento during Independence Day) to rally our people in defense of the integrity of the Bonifacio Monument.
We call on war hero and senior statesman, Sen. Jovito Salonga, the best President the Philippines never had, to relive the heady days when he led the Philippine Senate in rejecting the RP-US Bases treaty thereby ending the last vestiges of centuries-long foreign military presence in Philippine soil. This time, we need his unswerving commitment to freedom and his unfailing vision in preventing the loss of the monument that he can rightfully call his own.
We call on NUSP and Youth Act Now! led by Mr. Alvin Peters, its spokesperson, to mobilize the youth of this country in the struggle to save from desecration a priceless symbol of our country’s rich cultural heritage.
We call on our Senators and Congressmen, especially those who in 2010 will seek higher positions of public office to make known their stand. Will they stand for the dignity and honor of our country or will they turn a blind eye to what is going on?
We call on all people’s organizations and NGOs and our party-list representatives to set aside their differences and unite all Filipinos under the banner of the Monumento.
Monumento in January 2009 — at this critical time in our history — is a true acid test of Filipino nationalism. Are we going to pass this acid test or are we going to flunk the call for the defense of the dignity and honor of our country? This is a golden opportunity to renew national pride and greatness. It will show to the world that even in a time of severe economic crisis, Filipinos everywhere still have the capacity to respond to the call for cultural nationalism founded on our spirituality and faith as a people.
Before I end this post, I’ll take the opportunity to publish here a short excerpt from the poem Monumento, Kaluluwa ng Bayan Ko by Jose David Ricardo:
Sana nama’y mula ngayon kapag natanaw mong muli

Kaunlarang pangmayaman, pangdayuhan, pang-iilan,
Tandaan mo, kaibigan, wala itong katuturan
Kung bayan mo’y nagdurusa’t nakalublob sa putikan
Tutulan mo’t salungatin, ito’y isang kahibangan

Daang taon mula ngayon, patuloy titingalain
Monumento na bantayog sa giting ng lahi natin
Kung tayo ma’y nakalugmok, panahon na ng pagbangon
Burol sa lamay ng laya mo, tapusin na at iahon

Iahon mong buong giting, itong bayang nakasadlak

Please support the Monumento World Heritage Global Campaign. To sign the online petition, click this link: www.gopetition.com/online/23996. I also hope you can visit and follow my blog at http://tagamonumento.blogspot.com/,
To God be the glory!
To Rolly Ocampo:
Thank you for your initiative.
I cannot post a comment there but I just to say that this is unfair and as a Filipino we have the right to preserve our historical landmark like the Bonifacio Monument. Why the Local goverment and the National historical commission just went on to approve the project.
and to all Filipino
I already signed the petition and I hope YOU will sign it too.

I introduced our National Hero Dr. Jose Rizal to my son and husband when we visited his monument in Spain last December which is near my parent’s flat but unfortunately I haven’t took any pictures because we forgot our camera . So when we came back after 3 weeks this time I made sure I took my camera with me and took some pictures just after the little guy run and played in the big park beside the monument.

I will teach my my son about the Philippine’s history especially the life of Jose Rizal. He was every mother’s dream just imagine that he studied Opthalmology in UST (University of Santo Thomas) upon learning that his mother is going to be blind. But because of the Spanish friars discrimination of Filipino students he went to study abroad particularly in Spain to study medicine when and later in Paris and Germany.

The Jose Rizal Monument in Madrid was erected during his centennial in 1996 and inaugurated 5th of December 2006. It is located in a busy street called Avenida de Filipinas ( The Phlippines Avenue) and near a Metro or Subway station called Islas de Filipinas.

Dr. Jose P. Rizal is the Philippine’s National Hero. He was born June 18, 1861 and died by firing squad at Luneta Bagumbayan in December 30, 1896. He is academician, a linguist, writer, historian, scientist and a doctor. He studied in Ateneo de Manila , University of Santo Thomas, Universidad Central de Madrid, Paris and Germany. He valued education so much that

He said;

Youth are the hope of the Nation

and he issued a manifesto before his execution that;

disavowing the revolution and declaring that the education of Filipinos and their achievement of a national identity were prerequisites to freedom

Just imagine if he is alive today he will sure be blogging.

We will learn a lot from his life and his writings about peaceful means of reform he did not believe in violence. But to achieve total reformation we as a Filipinos should learn to know about our heritage and be proud to a Filipino no matter who are doctor or domestic helper anywhere in the world. Like Dr. Jose Rizal a citizen of the world but his heart still belongs to his Motherland the Philippines.

Do you know Jose Rizal? I’m proud to be a Filipino. Are You?

I just stumble this and it’s been in my brother’s media box in Friendster since last year. He said that this commercial was running in the Spanish television for a year. I read some of the comments that a lot of Filipinos are offended by this but I think it was done in a good faith or the Filipino cast will not appear on this commercial.

The Madrid Subway system is one of the largest in the world. It is the best and cheapest way to get around the Greater Madrid. It only cost 1 euro for a single ticket inside the Zone A or the Madrid center an you can change trains while still inside the subway. So far I could say it is reasonably clean especially the new stations and they are in the process of renovating the old ones. The train schedules are very efficient unlike the danish train systems. It is cheaper to buy a 10 trips clip card it cost only 7.40 euros and they also have something for tourist me which is no limit rides for min.of 1 and maximum of 7 days.

In comparison to Denmark Madrid train system is not child or baby friendly because of the absence of elevator in most of the stations. It always a nightmare for me when I travel with my son on his pushchair or stroller just imagine the Station near my parent’s apartment is several levels down I thinks it is 6 escalators down. Its very typical that parents navigating the escalators with their children strollers and sometimes people are willing to help you carry the strollers with the baby. Yesterday I went to visit my father alone and I thought I can manage but still I’m not that brave I have to carry to umbrella stroller and hold my son’s hand but I back out when I saw it is 10-15 meters deep. We just used the stairs and everybody thought we are so dumb but maybe they’re right because my leg were shaking while I’m hoping we will reach the last steps. The next flight of escalators I just asked someone to carry the stroller and they’re happy to obliged. Thank God we arrived home safely but I took the bus on the way home.

It so funny there is even a sign in the train platform as to where the handicaps should wait but hey how can those with wheelchair go down? Did they fly, crawl or somebody carried them down? I used the Metro or the train i Madrid several times but I haven’t seen anybody in a wheelchair used the subway. For that I Spanish subway thumbs down.

Here’s the commercial.

What do you think? Are you offended? In my opinion they just recognize the Philippines as you know there are hundreds thousands of Filipinos here.

I support the Filipinos Unite especially Mel on his effort to unite us all Filipino Bloggers around the world. I haven’t done any tag yet but I believe this prayer is relevant at this time of new beginnings.

praying-hands

Instructions:

This is a prayer tag and link for the Philippines and the Filipinos. You are enjoined to utter this prayer for nine (9) consecutive days and to tag as many bloggers as you can with preference for Filipinos. But only bona fide Filipinos shall be included in the official registry of Filipino bloggers in this blog. Each time a new blogger makes a link, be sure to send me an email of the entire link through melalarilla@gmail.com so that the official list will be consolidated in a master list in this blog. For our Muslim brothers, you may make your own special prayer formula but you must never deviate from the formula of this entire post.

Prayer
Dear heavenly Father, we consecrate to you our beloved country- the Philippines and all the Filipinos around the world. We acknowledge Father that apart from You, we can do nothing and it is only your divine providence and grace that can unite all Filipinos as one nation. We therefore humble ourselves before your throne. We confess all our sins to you individually and collectively as a nation. Forgive us our sins Father and wash us clean by the precious blood of Your beloved Son- Jesus Christ. Mend our wicked ways and let us experience a strong and genuine spiritual revival for ourselves and for our country. Let the Holy Spirit imbibe us with power, love and wisdom to return to Your path of holiness and righteousness. Bless our country, heavenly father. Bless all Filipinos wherever they maybe. Let progress, unity, harmony, stability, justice, peace and prosperity reign in our country.

Bless our leaders, from the President down to the lowest Barangay official. Touch their hearts that they may serve our country with all honesty and with love and integrity. Bless our children and our future generation. And bless us all Father in all aspects of our lives. This we pray to You heavenly Father, in the mighty name of Jesus, through the power of the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever. Amen.

November last year the Filipino community in Denmark were shock when Dulce, an au pair was killed in a vehicular accident. There is a on going ban of aupair in the Philippines European countries like Denmark who still approves au pair visas to thousand of Filipinas.  But when something terrible happens no one will take the responsibility not even the host country.  But the Bayanihan (Cooperative struggle) spirit of the Filipinos with the help of the Philippines Embassy her body was sent to the Philippines.  Read the rest of the story in www.babaylan.dk

Now another sad story happened to a former au pair who suddenly complained of back pain but it turned out that it was cancer please read below the letter of her cousin.

Dear Friends,

My mom’s cousin ate Carina passed away last wednesday in Herlev hospital due to a very aggressiev form of cancer. She was brought to the hospital early november due to some back pains, which turned out to be fluid in her lungs. In around 1 month time, the doctors have discovered cancer in her kidney, liver, both lungs, intestines and bones. An operation or Chemo was not an option anymore as the cancer was very aggressive. She was in morfin for around two weeks to help her with the pain, and then she passed away in her sleep last wednesday.

She hasnt been back home in the philippines for six years, her family here has not seen her in a long time. Her last wish was to be able go back and rest here.  I am asking for any amount of donation you can help us in our fund raising, so she can be here with her mother and siblings before christmas.

Please see attached file, and I thank you all in advance.

The  Funeral mass this coming Monday dec.22 at St. Anne’s church. 11am.
There is also  a Padasal for her this saturday 12pm at Bygmestervej 33 1tv. 2400 kbn. nv.

It is part of our customs to the Philippines to attend a funeral mass even if you are not friends of the family giving money as “abuloy” (alms) but the most important  is condoling the family of the deceased.  I live near a catholic church and a cemetery and 4 years ago my husband called me that it seems there was a demonstration of hundreds of Filipinos but it was actually a funeral of beloved Filipina who helped a lot of our Kababayans in her lifetime.  But its not only famous or known people that Filipinos flock during funerals it just in our culture to offer condolences and prayers.

My Condolences to Carina Camp David’s family. I hope my donation and the others kind hearted people will help ease the pain that struck here family.

A long distance relationship… What kind of relationship is that?

“Ask a Danish man who is married to a Filipina “I said when I was told about my brother who was leaving his wife and 2 children at home, in search for greener pastures in Spain. Two months later my sister-in-law found out that she was pregnant with twins! Most westerners can not understand why Filipinos leave their families to work abroad.

I went home and looked back at my own Filipino family’s saga on how we became a truly global Filipino family.

In a traditional Filipino family, the father is considered the head and the provider of the family and he is often referred to as the “ Haligi ng Tahanan”, The Pillar of the Home. While the mother takes the responsibility of taking care of the children and managing the home, she is called the “Ilaw ng Tahanan” or the light of the home. Children see their mother as soft and calm, while they regard their father as strong and the eminent figure in the family.

But in our case our mother is the one who has the strong character; she is not only a mother to us but she also does some of the things that my father lacks like handy man, and sometimes also making ends meet when my father’s earnings can’t support their 5 children.

My father tends our fishponds but sometimes typhoons, floods, and other calamities that always pass through our province make it a very unstable source of income. He also used to be a Biyahero a merchant so we had market stalls in 3 towns in Pangasinan (a Northern Province in Luzon island, ed.) but it was still not enough to provide good education for us kids which was their dream since they had only minimal education themselves.

In 1981 our lives changed when my mother left us to join her siblings here in Denmark to find work. I still can remember that time, I cried for several hours because I cannot imagine what our life will be without her. In a family, the mother is the light for all the pains and comforts. She is the light for all the mistakes and corrections. She is the light for all the happiness and sorrows. Without that light, the house can still stand but, there will be darkness. And with the darkness, there will be constant searching for direction and survival.

I was the eldest of the five children and I was 11 at the time she left us. Her responsibilities fel on my shoulder: I washed our clothes, cooked our food, and cleaned the house. I also became the surrogate mother of my youngest sister who was only 2 years old at that time. My brothers were 6 and 8 years old and my other sister was 9. There was a constant feeling of sadness and deep longing for us to be with our mother. Birthdays, Christmas, graduations and all the special events without our mother will forever be etched in our hearts. Gifts we received like new toys or new clothes were a momentary plaster to the emotional sores that made us numb with longing for family togetherness.

I can’t remember how I felt when I saw my mother for the first time in 4 years but what I can vividly remember was my youngest sister reaction at that time. She could not recognize my mother, it took her a month to get to used to the idea that we have indeed a mother. The site of the postman was a relief during that time. I can’t describe the excitement whenever we received greeting cards or letters from our mother. That was during the pre-internet age and there were no telephone lines in our place. Whenever we missed her we would just read her letters to reassure ourselves that she still with us but just thousands of miles away.

If it was difficult for us kids, it was even more so for our father who had to assume the mother and father roles at the same time especially when we reached puberty. My father was very strict with us: no parties, no gimmicks and no discos. I almost did not attend the Junior Senior Prom (Dance Ball). There was a lot of resentment and confusion for a teenager due to hormonal changes to our bodies that were happening, but somehow we managed through the help of my one and only female cousin. Most of my aunts and uncles were also abroad at that time so mostly we had to manage ourselves.

Later, our father left us to join my mother who moved to Spain 8 years later because there were already 2 of us who went to college. After a few months my sister followed him, leaving my 2 brothers and youngest sister under the care of my grandmother. I was in college and lived in Manila at that the time until my other siblings joined me when they went to college. My parents went home every 3 years after that.

Living without our parents was difficult but it made us closer to each other, and stronger to face life’s challenges. We’ve been through a lot of problems like studying, jobs and relationship problems. We even experienced that our apartment burned down not only once but twice with most of our priced possessions like pictures from childhood and most of the material things I gained while working, burned into ashes. We were lucky to receive help from other people like my employer at that time, who gave us financial help when we needed it most. But those experiences taught us that the family is more important thing than anything else in one’s life. Material things can vanish any time.

My parents were present during our graduation except my youngest sister’s graduation. When we entered the Philippines Convention Center where our graduation was, one can clearly see the tears in their eyes and the pride to see us in our togas, when we went up the stage to receive our diplomas.

I got a degree in Civil Engineering and is now pursuing another degree in Constructing Architect or Architectural Technology here in Denmark. One brother is dentist and one is a Electronics and Communication Engineer. My youngest sister finished Chemical Engineering, and another sister finished International Relations studies.

It was the dream of my parent for us to finish our education so we will have a better chance to have a good future.

But there’s an anti climax to our story. After several years of working in the Philippines, we still could not see a better future for all of us, we followed  our parents footsteps and are now joining the millions of global Filipinos trying to find a better future, which our own country unfortunately cannot provide us.

My family are composed of global migrants of 2  generations both on my father and mother’s side, families with one or both parents working abroad and children living here in Denmark, my parents are in Spain, my sister and myself here in Denmark. Others cousins and relatives are in the USA and one is a seaman. Some cousins also works in Dubai and other parts of the Middle East.  We vowed once not to follow our parent’s footsteps because we don’t want our children to undergo what we have been through. Although we can alway join our parents in Spain but maybe it’s our destiny to find our happiness here  in Denmark and we are grateful to our Aunt Elvira and her family for inviting us here where we met our husband and lives a better life than living in the Philippines.  Spain is much closer and cheaper and we’re hoping to to spend our first Christmas together this year with our complete family, it will be the first since 1981.

Did my parents dream turn into nothing because we are working and living abroad after earning our academic degrees in the Philippines? No I don’t think so, It is not our fault that the economy of the Philippines is in disarray and that it can not keep its highly educated citizens home. But we will always be thankful to the sacrifices of our parents because having education is the best thing they can give us because it will never vanish and someday it will help us to find the right jobs here in Europe.

Even in the absence of the Light of the Home, we still functioned as a family because of the sacrifice my parents did just for the sake of a better future for their children. They became our guiding light to stay away from all kinds of temptations and we became responsible adults. It’s the love for the family that drives many Filipinos to leave and work abroad.

Our First Family Picture taken last 2001

Our First Family Picture taken in 2001

This is our first and only family picture in 2001 meaning that finally we are complete as family plus the my sister in law and my niece.

Note:  This article was first published in ABAKADA,”Ang Balitang Kababaihan sa Denmark”, (The Filipina news in Denmark) in the Summer 2008 issue which theme is about Filipino Women’s on global migration. You can read other articles in that issue at www.babaylan.dk.

I posted this article because we will joining my parents in Spain are for the first time in 27 years we will spend the Christmas together as a family. It will be the realization of our dream and prayers for the past 27 years to be together during christmas but now that that we have our own families it will be more exciting and memorable for all of us.

That is for me the meaning of christmas to be with your family like the family in Bethlehem Our Lord Jesus together with His Parents and that will be the greatest gift that we will never forget.

How about you are you going to spend your christmas with your family?

Did you go to the cemetery today because today is All Saints Day. Because I did. I usually light some candles and say a little prayer remembering both my grandfathers, my uncle and some relatives which I still remember. But I can do it tomorrow it just I was so busy today. But I will tell you a little of what I can remember about this tradition.

Every November 1 Filipinos celebrates All saints day to commemorate or remember the dead member of the family. People usually go to the cemeteries bringing candles and flowers to their dead relatives. But days before that they go and clean and paint the tombs to prepare for the big day. This traditions originates from the catholic tradition during the old times but now its almost celebrated even by non catholics.

When I was young it was only my grandfather on my father side that we visited but we enjoy it because thats the time when we see all kinds of candles especially those big red candles with dragons which were brought by my uncle from Manila, they bought it from China Town. That around 10-12 mm in diameter and half meter long which we tried to make some balls out of the candle wax.

We really enjoyed this holiday because that the time where we can see and talk with relatives from different parts of the country. Coming from a small barrio I particularly loves to hear the stories about those people on the tombs and how we are related to them.

Today I don’t know if they still doing it but we have a tradition where the priest goes from house to house around and say a prayer for all our dead relatives. There were also some elders who can recite or sing in latin and we just give the names of our dead relatives. I think the prayer was to help the souls to go up in heaven if they are in the purgatories. Purgatories is where the soul stay when it can’t either go up or down to hell. If some of the living remembers them some of their sins will be forgiven. Well ok that’s a little bit hard for non catholic to understand but it will be nice that even if you’re dead and somebody still can remember you.

In Denmark they also celebrate All Saints Day on November and All souls Day the next Day since Catholicism was prevalent in the old days. Then during the reformation period it became just 1 day. But now slowly the young people are adopting the American tradition of Halloween or actually it was a European tradition since the Scottish and the Irish who brought that holloween tradition to North America. This new tradition just started out in the 1990’s brought by watching American sitcoms or TV series. But this time is good time for the Flower shops who sells flowers, candles and squash or pumpkin. In my son’s day care they make Jack o Lantern thats English tradition where they cut the pumpkin and inside they put a candle.

Young people thinks of Halloween as the time to party like classmates where the theme come like the Smurfs. Well I did not that party because when 10 to 15 years older than them is too hard to cope with craziness, drinking and smoking but I do attend class party once in a while.

They are still some Danes who visit the graveyards and bring candles and flowers like we do in the Philippines but without fanfares.

Like in Denmark some people in the Philippines who belongs to the upper class are already practicing the Americans Halloween’s traditions. I remember when I was still working in the construction industry. the streets of the high end subdivisions one can see some displays of various Halloweens themes and children’s dressed in various customs doing treat or treat. But it is not yet widespread because who can afford those expensive costumes and effects but only those on the higher status of the society.

Many people thought that tradition like Christmas and Halloween as a product of commercialism it is obviously true but it is op to us parents to decide what kind of traditions we gonna continue or not.

Traditions tell us stories and describes us what kind of people are we and sometimes they comes and goes but sometime they comes in a different twist.

How about you how do you celebrate Halloween?

After 6 years I will be back in my beloved country together with my hubby and my son.
I remember the excitement whenever my parents (yes I’m one of the millions Filipino global families) or my aunts and uncles go home to the Philippines. Anticipating what it’s in for me when they open their suitcases and wonder what resorts we’re going to visit.

But now it’s my turn. I’ve been crazy hunting anything in my closet and all the malls scouting for anything I can bring home. My nieces and nephew are teenagers now so it took me a long time to find out something that they will like. Good thing we still have the summer sale going on. I can’t afford to buy expensive gifts since I’m only a student but I already filled 2 suit cases. My sister asked me where do I get my money since don’t work. Well thanks to a very understanding husband my money is my own except I pay for my son’s day care, but the rest is mine and I’m good in saving because I know this moment will come then I don’t have ask him to buy those pasalubongs which he will have the hard time understanding.

25 days is very short time for a visit and I don’t know if I can visit all my friends and visit a lot of places but definately I will spent some time with my family my nieces, cousins and uncle and not to forget my grandmothers who are in their 90’s I hope they still can remember me but I’m sure they are glad that now I’m happily married and did not end up as a old maid.

It’s not a good time to visit the Philippines because it is a wet season but I don’t any choice it the summer vacation here in Europe so I have to make the most of it and pray that there will not come any typhoon or floods. Or we just stay on the beach everyday.

10 days more……and we will be there…
